Armathwaite lies in the northern reaches of the Eden Valley, the last stop on the Settle to Carlisle Railway before the line reaches its northern terminus. Like many stations along the line, its buildings are maintained in their traditional style and colours.
Armathwaite Manor dates back to 1829 a Grade II listed building, and provides welcoming and luxury holiday accommodation, perfect for a relaxing break away. Edenside has the wow factor! A renovated part of the old Manor is elegant and stylish, and from the moment you walk through the door you won’t be disappointed. It is perfect for all the family, with the rooms flowing through from the entrance with kitchen on the left and a large living room up on the left. The dining room is on the right. This property provides a variety of extra special touches, from the large Sony 77” oled Master Series TV, the luxurious beds and sumptuous pillows, to the large deep baths.
The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful Cumbrian countryside. Take a leisurely walk down into Armathwaite, or many delightful walks nearby. A must in the area is many walks in the Lake District National Park. Further afield, visit the delights of Hadrian’s Wall or cross the border for a scenic drive into Scotland.

An outstanding accommodation. A perfect stay!We had an absolutely fantastic time at this property! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless, beautifully presented, and exactly as described. The host was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed — even leaving a thoughtful welcome basket.The location was ideal: peaceful and scenic, yet just a short walk to two pubs. The accommodation itself was spacious, comfortable, and full of charm, with all the little details that make a place feel like home. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot Tub.Overall, this was one of the best holiday stays we’ve ever had — we left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning our return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cosy, well-equipped, and ideally located getaway.
