Set in large gardens with a picturesque, rural outlook in the peaceful Cumbrian countryside. It is flooded with light from the floor-to-ceiling patio doors which open out from the open plan living space. Kimberdale Lodge oozes space and style from its modern and fully equipped kitchen to the living area with comfortable leather sofas, where you can sit and relax overlooking the garden. The bedrooms boasts comfortable beds and quality linen whilst the sleek shower room boasts a large walk-in shower. The covered area to the rear of the lodge is particularly handy for all your wet weather gear – we do sometimes get rain here in Cumbria!
Whilst Kimberdale Lodge is set in a rural area you are only a short drive from Carlisle and the M6 motorway, making it the ideal base to explore the surrounding area which includes the Lake District National Park, not to mention the world famous Hadrian’s Wall which is basically on your doorstep. Surrounded by miles of quiet country lanes it’s the perfect location for a walk or a bike ride, perhaps stopping off at some of the local village pubs on your way. Just a short drive south of the Scottish Border, and close to the Solway Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you can spot a fantastic array of wildlife. The border city of Carlisle also has plenty to see and do including the castle, Tullie House Museum and a whole host of shops, cafés and restaurants.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Wonderful dog‑friendly chalet with secure garden and warm welcomeWhat a wonderful dog‑friendly holiday chalet. The huge garden is completely enclosed, making it ideal for dogs of all sizes and giving real peace of mind. You feel welcomed even before you arrive. The owners kindly put out a sign directing you to the lodge, so it’s very easy to find. There is ample parking, outside lighting from the parking area to the chalet, a trolley for unloading, and a delicious welcome food parcel with freshly baked scones. The accommodation is spacious and very well laid out, with a large open‑plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a bathroom with a large walk‑in shower and excellent water pressure. There’s also a freezer, washing machine, and clearly labelled recycling bins, which makes everything very easy.At the front is a patio with a large table and chairs. Even in February, it was lovely to sit outside with a coffee between showers, watching the dog and enjoying the peaceful rural view.We stayed with our husband, daughter, and German Shepherd, and our son and his family visited from Carlisle. I can confidently say this chalet would suit both dog owners and young families extremely well. ✅ Perfect for dogs✅ Secure garden✅ Peaceful rural setting✅ Spotlessly practical and welcoming

The lodge is in immaculate condition with all the amenities you could wish for, our wee dog loved the huge enclosed garden.Situated in a small village 10min from Carlisle city centre it gives you the vibe of being in total seclusion yet within easy access to a major town with all their entertainment facilities.We loved it so much we've booked again for next Hogmanay.......

A wonderful lodge with everything you need for a home from home feel. This is our second visit to this Lodge and it didn't disappoint. It is so quiet and peaceful all of us slept wonderfully. There is so much to do in the areas around the location that we still haven't visited everywhere on our list. Owners are lovely and available to help at any time. Scones were wonderful.
