Lovely cottage in a rural area. Dog enjoyed the area. We came to avoid the new year fireworks and we didn't hear any. Worth the trips to Long Meg stones and Talkin Tarn. Only negative could do with some general information about the cottage, i.e heating, bins, cooker instructions, etc.

I've travelled for work over 20 years now, up and down the country and I've stayed in all sorts of accommodation. I'd say that this one was close to perfect for everything I needed. The photos on line actually don't do it justice. The finish inside the accommodation is beautiful, and everywhere is spotless. A very pleasant environment indeed. The owners are lovely and respectful of your privacy, but approachable if there is anything you need. I travel with a 4 year old lab. There are plenty of places for dogs nearby. The river in Armathwaite is a lovely walk. For me this little cottage scores very highly and I have no hesitation in recommending it to. Top drawer stuff 👌
