The property is well-equipped for various activities, including table tennis, and is suitable for all ages. However, there is a mention of the showers not being great, indicating some room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

We had booked to visit the week before covid lockdown which had to be cancelled, we have always been determined to rebook. We had an excellent break in this beautiful ancient tower house. The house and the grounds do not disappoint, our visit was over way too soon. If you want a very old property full of character you need look no further. The rooms are large with interesting old pieces of furniture and numerous old photos. The beds, sofas and chairs were very comfortable. Very well equipped house, we enjoyed playing table tennis in the evenings. Owners and housekeeper friendly and helpful. We would love to return for a longer break.

We spent a lovely 3 days at Whitehall on a family trip. It is extremely peaceful with a great deal of room (it's a big house). Table tennis proved an unexpected fun activity (unexpected as the youngest person was in their forties). We wanted to be away from the action and this place is. While the garden is beautiful with views over fields, you are just off a main road, so we didn't walk that far from the property itself. Of course, you can get to places within a short drive. I would highly recommend this place especially for those who want something away from the more well-known parts of the Lake District.
