This lovely holiday cottage, adjoining the owner’s property, is a tastefully renovated, early 18th-century converted corn mill. Featuring open, original beams, exposed stonework and some of the mill’s workings, the cottage overlooks the River Marron. Branthwaite is a small village close to the Lake District’s National Park; it is just 4 miles from Loweswater and 6 miles from Crummock Water. Shop 2 miles, pub 500 yards. It is 4 miles from the lovely town of Cockermouth where there are lots of restaurants, cafes and pubs. The popular town of Keswick is 20 minutes drive.

The Corn Mill is a beautiful building in a peaceful spot. Accommodation is great, warm and comfortable and the entrance, being the old mill room is a great boot room and dog cleaning area. The owners are next door and very helpful, easy access to main roads and shops

We booked the mill to spend Xmas after a very challenging year as a family we couldn't face Xmas at home. It was the perfect choice, warm, cozy, comfortable and quiet with a fantastic kitchen in which we cooked a full Xmas dinner. It had beautiful countryside, stunning walks and the coast to explore very close. The owners were very friendly with lots of local knowledge. Would highly recommend and would love to return one day.
