Situated in an easily accessible position with panoramic views of the Lake District fells, Greenacres is perfectly located for visiting the world heritage site of the Lake District, as well as the quaint villages of the Eden Valley, the historic border city of Carlisle and Hadrian’s wall, or the beautiful Solway Firth and beyond into southern Scotland. Providing flexible accommodation suitable for the needs of families, couples or groups of friends, each of the three bedrooms offers its own bathroom facilities – two of which are en-suite. One canine guest is also catered for, with a plush bed awaiting and maybe even a treat or two to get the tail wagging.
The super king-size bedroom, with its impressive en-suite wetroom, has the option for an extra bed or travel cot, providing a family room if required; equally, the room is perfect for couples, or can also be offered with single beds. With its large, picture window, this bedroom is the perfect place to unwind with breakfast in bed, whilst admiring the amazing view of Blencathra Fell and its neighbours. Moving through the property, the king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room is light and airy, providing a space to relax and rest in away from the group, while the twin bedroom is equally suited to adults or children, with full-size single beds (and a tempting stash of toys and books if required), this bedroom is conveniently located next to the family bathroom with bath and overhead shower.
With on-site parking on the drive for up to four cars, park up and make yourself at home. With plenty of space for coats, shoes and all those holiday essentials, the welcoming hallway leads onto the open-plan living area, with a fully equipped kitchen and useful utility area, with washing machine, drying rack and freezer. After chilling out on the ample sofas and taking in the view, enjoy the social space of the fully equipped kitchen for preparing a meal, whilst catching up with favourite programmes on the large flat screen TV or chatting with your family or friends. On colder evenings, the log-burning stove brings a cosy vibe – out with the board games or a glass or two whilst you watch the sun sink over the Lakeland horizon.
The enclosed garden offers private spaces for couples or families, with an outdoor seating area and a fire pit (great for toasting marshmallows) and a dining area for alfresco living. Alternatively, take in the view again from the bench in the top garden to watch the everchanging skies and moods of the fells while the children can enjoy the climbing frame and slide or chill out on the swing under the large beech tree. The village of Lazonby, offers a well-stocked store and just a little further along to Kirkoswald, two excellent pubs both offer great food. The local town of Penrith is just a short drive, (or take the hourly bus service) and offers a range of independent shops, supermarkets, takeaways, restaurants and cafes.
Those looking for a trip filled with excursions, pay the village of Pooley Bridge a visit to sail through Ullswater with the Ullswater Yacht Club or the award-winning Ullswater Steamers, ride or cycle through Dunmallard's vast woodlands, and hike up Aira Beck to find the beautiful Aira Force Waterfall. For more outdoors treats, head into the centre of the Lake District National Park and take a boat cruise through its many lakes, visit the Brockhole on Windermere adventure playground, or simply stay during the evening to stargaze its unspoilt, dark skies. Venture north to the county town of Cumbria, Carlisle, to board the popular Carlise-Settle Railway and run through the rural landscapes; continue on to the stunning Solway Coast or visit Hadrian's Wall to make the most of the nature-rich region!

Lazonby hosts a railway station, providing holiday-goers with easy access to the nearby towns of the Lake District, including Carlisle and Penrith.
