The furnishing and equipment were up to a high standard and contributed to our enjoyment of the holiday. One exception: windows very draughty which, during a storm, even though closed, allowed a lowered blind to blow into a glass ornament and smash on the carpeted floor. The village was very pleasant. The local Engine Inn Restaurant can be highly recommended, too, along with its excellent Landlord Ales.

The apartment is perfect. Lovely location, within walking distance from the sea which can be seen from the dining room window. The apartment itself is very spacious, well furnished, warm and comfortable. Never heard a sound from the other residents, so very quiet slept like a log. Can't believe its not booked solid for the foreseeable future. The reason for this may be that the first entry coming up for this property, by Sykes, on the website states "This property is no longer available for booking". It has 14 photographs and states 3 guests. The furniture in the lounge area is different too. I looked at this entry at first and was put off but then by chance, a few weeks later, I found the one underneath which is an updated version. I would not hesitate to stay at 6 Cark House next time I travel up to Cark.

I kept brushing up dead flies the whole time we were there. Every time one walked into the kitchen and dining area the window cills and worktops were full of dead flies. Not very nice. It also needs to be made clear which parking space is for flat 6. It says parking in number 6 space when in fact it should be A6 which is around the corner. Not very good when arrival is after dark.
