This semi-detached cottage is centrally located in the Cumbrian village of Cark-in-Cartmel. At Rose Cottage there is a king-size double bedroom, a twin and a single room, spread across the upper two floors. The cosy sitting room will welcome your return after a day of exploring the Lake District, complete with two sofas and armchairs, plus a Smart TV so you can catch up on your favourite shows. The modern kitchen is fitted with all the appliances you could need for a short break, along with a dining table for mealtimes. To the outside is a sunny patio area where you can sip on a refreshing beverage whilst the taking the peaceful surroundings. With the Lake District National Park a short drive away and the Cumbria Coast to explore, Rose Cottage is an excellent base, any time of year. Renowned for being the prettiest village in the Lake District, the little town of Cartmel in South Lakeland is a wonderful holiday destination. At the heart of this thriving community is the Priory Church, one of the finest ecclesiastical buildings in the north of England with its gatehouse still in use as the entrance to the settlement itself. Amidst cobbled streets and pretty streamside walks, are a range of quaint gift shops, antique shops, traditional pubs that serve real ale and the nationally renowned Michelin-starred restaurant L'Enclume. A well-loved destination for hill-walkers, the region is full of excellent trails through stunning, unspoilt countryside. In addition, there is the Campbell Legend Bluebird Exhibition, Lakeland Motor Museum and Hunt Racecourse all in the near vicinity.

Cottage was immaculate and had everything you could possibly need. Some local walks for the dogs and written routes available in the cottage. It was an enclosed back yard but access was available through to the front of the cottage which meant a bigger dog could jump over the front wall, that said really enjoyed our stay and will be returning.
