Guests appreciate the spacious, warm, and comfortable accommodation at 8 Lowther Gardens, with its excellent location in Grange-over-Sands, close to local amenities and ideal for exploring the Lakes. The property's charm and value are noted, despite some feedback on the need for maintenance and updates to decor and kitchenware.
The property is generally described as clean, with specific praise for the cleanliness of bedding and kitchen. However, there are no explicit negative comments about cleanliness, suggesting it meets guests' expectations.
The location is highly praised for being central, close to shops, restaurants, and public transport, with easy access to walking routes and spectacular views, making it a standout feature of the property.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the apartment warm, contributing to a relaxing break. Some furniture is noted as tired or dated, but overall, the comfort level is satisfactory.
While the property is well-equipped and spacious, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as peeling paint, missing light bulbs, and a need for kitchenware replenishment. These points suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. As such, it is not possible to provide a score for this category.
We love the central location with most shops, pubs and cafés within a couple of hundred yards walk from the apartment, and an ideal base for easy access to the Lakes District.. All on the

The property is situated on the first floor and the front door opens into a hall area which is ideal for coat and shoe storage and could also accommodate a few bikes. The stairs then lead up to the apartment which opens into a spacious landing area, immediately off the landing you have the large family bathroom which has a bath and separate shower cubicle, across the landing is a second toilet suite. The master bedroom is generous and has benefits from large built in wardrobes, likewise the second bedroom is comparable in size with equal storage space. The kitchen is well appointed with plenty of preparation area and the added benefit of a washing machine. There is an additional table to work as a breakfast area. The living/dining room is comfortable and bright.
Grange is a pretty resort with an Edwardian flavour and a relaxed atmosphere. It is on the shores of Morecambe Bay, and has great views across the sands of the Bay. The estuary and the countryside around Grange are fascinating places for nature enthusiasts. A tremendous range of birds can be seen, and there are several nature reserves and sites of special scientific interest. Grange has some of the finest parks and gardens on the Cumbrian coast – the ornamental gardens has a lake with many water birds or if you prefer enjoy a walk along the promenade which hosts regular art exhibitions. Grange is the ideal base to explore the Southern Lakes area which offers plenty of variety in terms of attractions, from the stately Holker Hall and Gardens, to Cartmel Racecourse or mountain biking and Go Ape at Grizedale Forest. You also have easy access to the stunning Lake district with Lake Windermere accessible within a 20 minute drive, so whatever your passion you can plan the perfect vacation for you and your family.

Apartment clean, comfortable and very spacious. Local amenities couldn't have been any handier. Lovely walks close by in gardens and along promenade. Weather wasn't the best (but that's the Lake District), so the apt. was a haven on occasions. We found the accommodation very good and would not hesitate to rebook.

This is the sixth visit to the property, it is in need of some TLC now. There is a hole in the wall, the kitchen equipment is not sufficient for four people. But the worst offender is the sofa, it has never been comfortable but now it is practically unusable as there is a metal spike protruding form the frame.I am sure buying a second hand sofa would cost less than being sued when someone is injured by it. We have enjoyed our previous visits but I think the time has now come to look for somewhere in Grange that is kept in better order.

Super location. A very warm and comfortable apartment. Some of the furniture is long past its best e.g. settee and coffee table. Would have been nice to have been provided with a pint of milk and some sugar for tea and coffee on arrival which many rented properties provide. When staying in a property for a couple of days one doesn’t want to have to provide all the basics from home.
