An extremely spacious, luxury ground floor apartment, superbly located in the pretty mill village of Cark in Cartmel. Very well appointed throughout, this Cark in Cartmel self-catering apartment is ideal for couples wishing to stay in peaceful surroundings but have access to all the fine restaurants and attractions this area has to offer. Set within a former gentleman's residence, a listed building which has been very tastefully converted into six apartments, this Cark in Cartmel holiday apartment boasts high ceilings and has one bedroom, one bathroom, a fine sitting room offering views across the shared grounds and a fully fitted kitchen with a dining area. The pleasant shared grounds of this Cark in Cartmel apartment provide a perfect space to enjoy the tranquil surroundings, with a small river running through the grounds - an ideal place to sit and relax with a refreshing drink. The quaint old mill village of Cark has a popular pub serving food, and a local shop. A gentle walk from this Cark in Cartmel holiday apartment takes you to Holker Hall, with its fine gardens, deer and food hall offering excellent local produce. The slightly larger village of Cartmel is less than a 5 minute drive away, and is famous for both its medieval priory and the L'Enclume restaurant. The small village of Cark in Cartmel lies just a couple of miles from its more famous neighbour, Cartmel, in lovely Lakeland countryside. Cark is a stop on the Furness railway, and visitors to the village will enjoy a stroll to the local beach, or a quiet pint in one of the two friendly pubs. Holker Hall house and deer park are just a short walk from Cark. Cartmel is renowned for its racecourse, and the town is well served with a selection of shops, traditional pubs and a Michelin starred restaurant. There is so much to enjoy in the area, from country walks to boat trips on Windermere or a trip to the seaside resort of Grange over Sands. A great Lakeland base for your holiday.
