Guests say

Farleton View offers a spacious and well-equipped base in a quiet location, ideal for exploring Kendal and the Lake District. Guests appreciate the well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and peaceful surroundings. While many found the property homely and enjoyed their stay, several noted that the garden is overgrown and not enclosed, which may be challenging for dog owners. Some maintenance and cleanliness issues were mentioned, but overall, the property provides good value and a pleasant setting for a holiday.

Reviews are mixed, with some guests finding the house clean and comfortable, while others reported issues such as musty smells, cobwebs, dirty sofa cushions, stained sheets, and, in one case, significant cleanliness concerns. The overall impression is that cleanliness is inconsistent and could be improved.

The location is frequently praised for its quiet setting, good views, and convenient access to Kendal and the Lake District. While there are no immediate amenities like shops or pubs, guests found it a great base for exploring the area.

Guests generally found the property spacious and the beds comfortable, with a homely feel. Some noted issues with old sofas, harsh towels, and a steep drive, but overall comfort levels were good for most visitors.

The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom is modern, but several guests mentioned maintenance issues such as slow shower drainage, tricky doors, and a lack of basic supplies like toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets. The garden is often described as overgrown and not enclosed, which may be inconvenient for some.

There is no mention of welcome gifts or thoughtful extras. Some guests noted a lack of basic supplies (toilet rolls, cleaning products), which suggests that additional touches are limited. Please note that gifts or extras are not guaranteed.

Overal good. Feels like a home.BIG MINUS: wastewater in shower does not drain away quick enough. After half a minute you have to turn the tap off and wait for the water to drain away. Very uncomfortable!!!
