Farleton View is a well-equipped cottage in a quiet and scenic location, ideal for exploring the lakes. Guests appreciate the property's kitchen, views, and quiet road, making it a cosy home from home. Some guests noted areas for improvement, but many would rebook for another stay.
Several reviews mention cleanliness issues such as a musty smell, dust, cobwebs, and dirty sofa cushions. One review cited a particularly negative experience with filth and mould. However, some guests found the property clean, leading to a below-average score.
The location is frequently praised for its quietness, good views, and easy access to the lakes and nearby attractions. The lack of amenities like a village shop or pub nearby is noted, but the location remains a highlight for many guests.
Guests find the property roomy with comfortable beds and a lovely kitchen. Some concerns about outdated decor and the need for TLC are mentioned, but overall, the property provides a comfortable stay.
The property is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, but several reviews point out maintenance issues such as overgrown gardens, difficulty with doors, and a lack of cleaning supplies. The need for a deep clean and attention to detail is evident.
There are no mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide a score for thoughtfulness.

Nice property but needs attentionThe cottage is in a quiet location, well placed for Kendal and the Lake District National Park. The beds were comfortable and clean. The shower was lovely but just slow at flowing the water away, overall it is a nice property, but it needs attention. On arrival there was a musty smell, cobwebs and dust in places, and the sofa cushions were dirty. Some areas feel tired and in need of updating. The back garden is not enclosed and has no gate, which is difficult if you have dogs. The back door lock did not work and, although this was reported, the door was only secured with a security chain, which did not feel adequate.Overall, a pleasant stay in a good location, but cleanliness, maintenance and security needs attention.
