Converted into a split level detached holiday bungalow from the former Gaisgill Station, light and airy, furnished to a very good standard, in Danish style, and with a power shower over the bath. Adjacent to the owner’s home, between the Lakes and Dales National Parks (both within 20 minutes’ drive), in the Lune Valley, great for walking. The A685 is to the side of Gaisgill, with access to the Howgills. Settle to Carlisle rail link at Kirkby Stephen. Pub 1½ miles, shop 2 miles.

This was our 5th visit to The Waiting Room and it never disappoints. The owners communicate well before the visit. On arrival milk and biscuits left to welcome us. The place is always spotless and has everything you could possibly want for your stay. Super comfy bed too. It’s a little remote for transport and shops but that suits us fine. Love sitting in the lounge watching all the birds on the numerous bird feeders in the garden.Added bonus going in March/April this time, we had fields of sheep and tiny lambs all around us.10/10 from us x
