Guests say

Pine Lodge in Ulverston is praised for its cleanliness, peaceful setting, and wildlife encounters. Guests appreciate the well-equipped, comfortable lodgings and the hot tub, though some mention minor maintenance issues. The location offers beautiful views and is suitable for exploring the South Lakes, despite some concerns about nearby construction and storage.

The lodge consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it was spotless upon arrival.

The location is generally appreciated for its peacefulness and views, but some guests were disappointed by the presence of stored caravans and construction work. The rural setting makes access to local amenities challenging.

Guests find the lodge comfortable, mentioning spacious rooms and comfy beds. However, there were some minor comments about the need for more instructions on using the facilities.

The lodge is well-equipped, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a broken TV remote and kitchenware needing replacement. The hot tub is a highlight, though its privacy was compromised during construction work.

There are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate the level of thoughtfulness, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Lovely break away in a peaceful setting

Lovely, clean lodge which had everything required. Plenty of space and comfy beds. Looked like there were a few caravans being stored opposite our lodge, which spoilt the view of the fields slightly. Location was ideal for exploring the South Lakes and although it stated there was a pub and shop within a couple of miles, they wouldn't be easy to get to, especially in the dark as would mean navigating narrow, windy country lanes (no pavements). Loved having the Peacocks and chickens visiting! Would visit again

Lodge was clean and had everything needed, however the view was not as expected and we were really disappointed. The owner is currently having work done to the water area /pond outside the lodge with workmen using 2 diggers constantly all the time we were there. He did apologise after we arrived saying it would only be for 1 day. That wasn't the case as the work and diggers were working all week. We couldn't use the hot tub or outside seating as we would have liked because of the privacy. Also the view behind the water area in front of the lodge was of stored caravans! all not ideal and the site was nothing like we expected and as its advertised.
