It is just out of the way enough to be peaceful but not far from Lancaster if you need the city. Great walks to be had all around the area, we had such a fantastic week. The cottage is warm and inviting with a log burner for the evening ambience. (we brought our own logs). The garden is enclosed, well our dogs did not escape. Well equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. I did meet the hosts who are charming, I will definitely book another visit as much more to do and see.

Loved the view out over the meadow and the garden. Short walk round to the garden centre and cafe. 5 minute drive to the Stork pub and 10min drive into Lancaster. Lots of walks through the woods from the door. Very spacious- lots of room in the main kitchen/living area and bedrooms. Wi-Fi worked well despite earlier reviews. Shower was great with plenty of hot water but towels were a bit rough. Slept well as it was so quiet but mattress could do with updating.

The only slight issue for us was that the shower is over the bath rather than walk-in, which meant that my mobility impaired parents were unable to use it. That aside, it met our needs perfectly.
