These three terraced, converted barns have spectacular views of the Cumbrian Fells and Morecambe Bay. In a picturesque setting, on the owner’s working beef and sheep farm, these holiday properties are situated on the edge of the beautiful Trough of Bowland, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and in great walking territory. Each property has a patio area with picnic benches, where guests can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area. In the parish of Quernmore, the properties are just a short drive from the historic town of Lancaster where there are numerous pubs and restaurants. Leisure facilities nearby include golf courses and the historic Williamson’s Park, which has the beautiful Ashton Memorial and the Butterfly House. Lancaster also has a castle, where the Pendle witches were brought for trial. Other places to visit include the seaside resort of Morecambe, 8 miles, Ingleton and the Yorkshire Dales, 18 miles, Kendal, known as the Gateway to the Lakes is 27 miles, Blackpool, 35 miles, and the cities of Manchester and Liverpool are just over an hour’s drive. We had a lovely stay in one of the cottages in Rooten Brook Farm. The weather was lovely u until our last day and the views spectacular. The cottage had everything you need for a weeks stay and was very comfortable. We enjoyed the many attractions like Windermere and Skipton which are all about one hour away. We have recently moved from Bristol to Bolton so it was a lovely break.

Very good instructions on how to get there. Quiet, remote location with amazing views. Cottage was very clean and had everything I needed. Ideal for single person or a couple. Would highly recommend and will definitely book again if in the area.
