About this property

Resting in the bustling town of Barnoldswick, in Lancashire, is this charming stone cottage, which is set in the middle of a row of some of the oldest stone cottages in a quiet residential area. Internally, the owners have renovated the property, but have kept many of the original features, such as the exposed beams which gives the cottage a mass of character. Entering the property, be welcomed into a delightful lower-ground-floor snug room, where you can enjoy some quality family time together, or get some quiet time and indulge in the good selection of books provided, whilst the convector heater keeps you nice and cosy. Following the steps up to the ground floor, you will discover a large open-plan living space with oak flooring, a sofa and armchair to sink into and benefit from an electric woodburner effect stove and wall-mounted TV. The kitchen has been fitted to a high standard, with all the necessary appliances and a few added extras such as a slow cooker, dishwasher and washing machine to give you a taste of home. The dining area has seating for four, with a bespoke window bench for gathering to enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal. From here, you can access the first floor which has two bedrooms on offer, set up as a king-size and single. Also a wet room with underfloor heating, a shower with quality fixtures and fittings at the end of a tiring day. Outside there is a small south-facing patio with furniture. Barnoldswick is an excellent town with a number of traditional eateries for some fine food, as well as some shops for picking up any last-minute essentials. Nestled just outside of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, you can venture inside and explore the beautiful heather moorlands by walking or hiking or join one of the nearby trails for some cycling opportunities. Nearby are the Ghyll Golf Club and Colne Golf club where you can play a friendly game, no matter your skill level. 4 Castle View is an idyllic cottage located in a quiet residential area in the heart of Barnoldswick.

The cottage was beautifully decorated , was spotless and is perfectly located for walking into town. One tiny little niggle, would have liked a bath sheet instead of a bath towel, which was small.

Although near the Dales it is much nearer the beautiful countryside of Pendle parish. Accuracy of description is not Sykes strong point! Secondly my grade 7 refers to Sykes business practise (and not the cottage) as that is the question asked. Weavers View is one of the nicest cottages I have stayed in and I would happily give it a 4.5 to 5 star rating. Beautifully presented, warm and clean. The owner George was very welcoming and helpful during my stay and the many festive touches added to my Christmas experience. Ideally the little outside area would have a better outlook but not having a pretty view would in no way prevent me going again quite happily. A big thank you to George and Anne.
