A charming property appointed to the highest standards throughout. It is situated in such a beautiful location, with scenic walks and cycle paths a short distance from the doorstep. There is a private paddock by the stream, just a short 5-minute stroll away, where you can enjoy picnics, play ball games and simply just relax.
There is so much to do in this area. Take the footpath by the stream which joins the High Peak and Tissington Trail, then further on to a path leading to Carsington Water. The walks are endless and depending on ability, you will find stunning mountains, hills and valleys to explore. Some of the finest country stately homes in England are within easy reach, including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Tissington Hall. Additional popular villages and towns are also within a short distance including Bakewell, Eyam, Ashbourne, Tissington, Thorpe and Buxton.
A variety of activities are available by arrangement with the owner, such as clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, treasure hunts and much more. Horse riding can be found nearby at Tissington and Netherton, and Ashbourne has a golf course. Fabulous place to stay and very good communication from Sophie. The house was beautiful and very well set it with everything you needed. Lovely welcome hamper on arrival. The gardens were also beautiful if love to go back and sit by the river on a sunny day but if also like to go back and see the garden frosted over. The host David was also very welcoming. I would definitely like to return

We loved our long weekend at Waterside Barn, celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday. The barn was spotless on arrival and the welcome pack, including one for our dog, was a lovely touch. The barn is located in a tranquil spot, set back from the road, where only the sound of birds, the brook and nearby sheep broke the peace. Lots of lovely walks from the door, and Ashbourne was a short 15 minute drive away for any forgotten essentials. A fabulous weekend, with lots of laughter. A great start to my husband’s celebrations. Thank you :)
