Youlgrave is a village of limestone buildings and an impressive 12th century church, with three pubs, a village shop/tea room, vegetarian bakery, post office and garage, located above Lathkill and Bradford Dales. On an 11-mile radius it takes in the market towns of Buxton, Ashbourne and Chesterfield and is in close proximity to Bakewell and Matlock. Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House are both a short drive away and well worth the visit, and the former can also be reached within a very pleasant 40-minute walk. Shop and restaurant 200 yards, pub 100 yards.

Absoluty brilliant. The cottage was lovely and right in the middle of Youlgrave. The place was charming and the hosts lovely and very welcoming . I cannot recommend it enough. I hope we make it back there sometime soon.
