This lovely old stone farmhouse enjoys uninterrupted views across open farmland from a quiet village location. From here you can walk down to Bradford Dale and Lathkill Dale or into the village centre with its three pubs and a few small shops. The garden is at the front and catches the sun all day, so is a lovely place to sit and admire the view. Inside, thick curved walls, a wood burning stove and an open fire all add character, combined with a modern kitchen and bathroom.

Brooklands Farm Youlgreave is an excellent base for a holiday in the Peak District. There are plenty of walks from the door and it's close to local shops, pubs and tearooms. The cottage itself is very roomy and comfortable. I have no hesitation in recommending this cottage and we fully intend to revisit.

Once you haver made it down the steep and narrow drive which was a bit much for a normal car, the views are stunning. The farmyard was no bother. The charming cottage on the outside was sadly let down by the cleanliness and attention to detail. I'm no Martha Stewart but found the cooker (an ancient eye level grill type) needed replacing. Sorry, it was not clean. The shower door was only on the rails at the top and again, needed a deep clean. We never saw the lady who hosts it.
