Guests highlight the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and secure garden, especially for dogs. While some guests noted minor cleaning issues and a few maintenance niggles, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Most guests found the property clean and well-presented, though a few mentioned dog hairs and areas needing a deeper clean. Overall, cleanliness is good but could be improved with more thorough attention between stays.

    Perfect holiday.

We absolutely loved our week in Baslow. The location was perfect - walks, pubs, shops all on the doorstep. Silcrest is beautiful and had all the amenities and facilities we needed to thoroughly enjoy our stay. The house is spacious, well-presented and very well kept. The photos online do not do it justice. The only thing wrong with the week was the weather - it was very cold and often wet. However the house was warm and cosy, and the lean-to was a great place to sit and read or chat while watching the rain! Even the weather did not dampen our enjoyment of the Peak Distict. We’ll be back soon.

Silcrest is in a great area for visiting the Peak District. Near to Bakewell, Chatsworth. Good places to eat and enjoy that cup of coffee. The Gift Shop at Culver serves great coffee and the cakes are hard to pass by.. The TissingtonEstate serves good teas. The British Garden Cetre at Matlock serves lovely lunches. The canal trip from Cromford dates beck in time and is worth the trip. The house could do with a hand rail in the bathroom and small bins in the bedrooms would be a nice touch. Parking easy in a quiet area.
