Bakewell is a lovely peak district town, a gateway to exploring further afield. Facilities within the town are first class, excellent pubs and restaurants as well as supermarkets. If the outdoor life is for you then Bakewell takes some beating!

Everything we needed was available. Bed very comfy and the shower was great, easy and efficient to use. Also very clean.We have stayed here before and will do again sometime. Also Lucy the owner was very helpful when we had a small problem with the television.

I booked the Old Cobblers Cottage for a 3-day get-away-from-everything break and it did not disappoint. The location is perfect - very central in Bakewell - but also quiet and secluded in Barratts Yard. The cottage is comfortable and had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable, the shower was powerful and hot, the mornings were chilly (despite it being June) and just 20 minutes of heating soon had the place warm and cosy. The location is perfect for easy access to amazing walks and visiting places like Haddon Hall or Chatsworth. Loved it.
