Ideal for a break in the Derbyshire Peak District throughout the seasons. At the ground level you will be greeted via a sunroom into the impressive interior. A cosy sitting area with mezzanine reading area above both with tasteful furnishings, perfect for retiring to when evening draws in. A delightful newly fitted cottage kitchen, leading into the light filled shower room. The stairs lead you to the landing area with seating to enjoy a book or just a view out of the Velux window. The bedroom is light and airy with a double bed to enjoy once a day’s exploring has been completed. Outside is a cottage garden and seating area with furniture to enjoy your morning coffee. Matlock and Matlock Bath are close by, giving the opportunity to explore the Heights of Abraham and Gulliver’s Kingdom accessed through a cable car, and offering spectacular views of the Derwent Valley. From here you can tour the network of caverns and passageways or walk over sixty acres of woodland hillside. An ideal base from which to explore the region’s attractions including the magnificent stately homes.
The beautiful Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are an absolute must see. Visit the picturesque villages of Bakewell and Ashover both close by. Excellent walking can be found from the doorstep, plus activities at Carsington Water including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and cycling, plus excellent birdwatching in the surrounding areas.

Little Sitch Barn is the perfect setting for a romantic getaway. Was very cozy and had all we needed and more. The barn was very clean and tidy. In a lovely location, with Matlock Bath and other fantastic attractions a short distance away. The locals were very friendly and the area is very beautiful. We loved the bottle of bubbly as a welcome gift. We enjoyed this on top of Black Rocks watching the sunset. A must go place to visit, though you need a good head for heights as well as High Tor with a great view over Matlock Bath. A nice little touch was the welcome pack which gave us all the information we needed and had some great tips and advice of places to go as well as the Holiday book other guests have written in. A fab place to stay.

Beautiful cottage in a great location. 10 minutes walk from a pub and 10 minutes drive from the centre of Matlock, although you wouldn't think it was as close because it's so peaceful. The cottage is very cosy and spotlessly clean with everything you need, and more, for a great stay.
