This cosy yet spacious interior designed property has many luxury features including a limestone wet room, dressing room, boot room and log burner. It also has a large conservatory making it the ideal place to relax while immersed in the verdant English countryside.
Winsmore Cottage is close to the picturesque market town of Bakewell; home of the famous pudding. One of the country's oldest markets, first recorded in 1254, is held in Bakewell every Monday. nearby is Chatsworth House, first built by Bess of Hardwick, home of the Duke of Devonshire and where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned. The cottage is superbly positioned for ramblers wanting to explore the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.

This was my second stay at this perfect cottage, which is situated in an idyllic peaceful spot, and has a lovely garden. There are field views and walks from the doorstep. It's a short drive into Bakewell and within an easy drive of Chatsworth and Buxton. The cottage is warm, comfortable and has everything you could want. It is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, with high quality soft furnishings, and a fabulous log burner. The host is very helpful and provides a wonderful welcome hamper. I hope to stay again in the future.

A very enjoyable location for our week's stay. Well furnished and maintained and a thoughtful welcome basket. Good location for hiking and cycling, though hills to contend with since it is the Peak District. Basic pub food a short walk and plenty of other eating options in easy driving distance. Good access to Bakewell, Buxton, Chatsworth House (farm store is fantastic!)and other points of interest. We had warm sunny weather and, if high temperatures are becoming more common, a larger ceiling fan in the bedroom would be welcome.
