Guests say

Brookhouse in Hope Valley is a highly praised cottage, celebrated for its well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and cleanliness. Guests enjoyed the convenient location with easy access to local attractions and walks. The thoughtful touches, including a welcome hamper, were appreciated, although it's noted that such gestures are not guaranteed. Parking can be tight, but the property's charm and amenities seem to compensate for any minor inconveniences.

Reviewers consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'spotlessly clean' and 'very clean', indicating a high standard of hygiene and upkeep.

The location is frequently highlighted as ideal, with guests appreciating the proximity to local pubs, shops, and attractions like Mam Tor, as well as the ease of access to walking routes directly from the property.

Comfort is a standout feature, with numerous guests commenting on the comfortable beds, homely feel, and the overall cosiness of the cottage, making it a relaxing retreat.

Facilities are highly rated, with special mentions of the well-stocked kitchen, generous welcome hamper, and the inclusion of dog treats. However, the mention of limited parking and the need for a small freezer or mention of the freezer size suggests a slight deduction in the score.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident from the reviews, with guests feeling well catered for through generous hampers and attention to detail. However, it is politely noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be a standard offering for every stay.

It was my 60th birthday and all my family came. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us. It has stunning features in every room, beautifully clean and my dachshund Pip loved cuddling up next to the log burner. Thank you also for the welcome hamper, it was a lovely surprise. I had such a special time I would definitely stay again.
