Eyam is a small village resting within the Peak District National Park, at the foothill of Sir William Hill. It is 800 ft above sea level and is surrounded by wonderful countryside. Within the village you will find Eyam Hall, a 17th century manor house with gardens, a selection of pubs, cafes and shops. Bakewell is 7 miles away and houses a livestock market every Monday and is home to the famous Bakewell Tart.

It is very well maintained and has everything necessary for a cosy stay; the kitchen area is a bit of a squeeze, but is fully equipped. The owner is friendly but not intrusive. The only point to bear in mind is the - ahem - "variable" Internet signal, but after a while the escape from the hurly-burly of the outside world for a week became a joy! Without hesitation, I would certainly hope to use the Studio when I next take a holiday in the area.

It was clean and cosy and the layout meant that when sitting on the sofa you are looking out into the garden and the valley beyond - the view is amazing! The bathroom only has a handheld shower but this is obvious from the photos so I'd decided to make do and it wasn't a problem. The kitchen is small but well equipped. The owner was friendly and welcoming but gave us our privacy. It is situated in a perfect location for seeing this part of the Peak District. We (my little dog and I) really didn't want to leave at the end of the week!
