Just a few cobwebs, but not a problem. Great place to stay to explore the area . We enjoyed a meal at The Barrel and The Shoulder of Mutton. Would use the cottage again. We used the Co-op and the sandwich shop opposite the Co-op .Lovely Village.

Loved the village, great amenities and especially The White Hart pub! The only reason itâs not 5 stars all round is that for anyone over 6ft, the cottage has a few challenges, and my husbandâs 6ft 3in frame struggled with the stairs and headroom in the kitchen area particularly! But that aside, couldnât fault it, we were cosy and warm and in the perfect place for walking the Dark Peak edges.

We'd recommend The Bulls Head at Foolow, about 4 miles from the cottage, for a lovely meal, where we enjoyed a Mother's Day lunch, accommodating us at short notice, despite being busy. If I offered any other feedback, you might supply some kitchen tongs, and perhaps a couple more mugs and glasses.
