Halcyon Cottage is set in quaint hamlet, just a few minutes’ walk from Stocksbridge golf course, a few minutes’ drive from Stocksbridge itself; a fantastic town boasting great eateries and a recently renovated ’Fox Valley’ shopping centre, plus Bolsterstone which is also a great, idyllic, historical village to explore. Being within stunning countryside on the edge of the Peak District National Park, there are a variety of different walks directly from your doorstep or just a short drive away. The area also has bus and tram links to local trains. The cottage is a 25-minute drive from Meadowhall, Sheffield and Huddersfield, and even nearer to the delightful Penistone, Holmfirth and Derbyshire.
You enter the cottage into the living room, with comfortable seating comprising of a sofa and armchair, and an electric wood burner to add a cosy ambience. The living room is open plan with the modern kitchen which has a lovely breakfast bar, the owner has also provided a fold out dining table with chairs should the guests prefer to use this. The cottage has Wi-Fi, USB charging points and the TV has connections for BT and Netflix. Upstairs there is a bathroom and a kingsize bedroom, the bed can be made into twins upon request. Outside there is parking on the quiet road, The patio is a lovely, suntrap; also outside is a small lawned garden with outdoor furniture.
This quaint cottage is part of a very private, residential hamlet within a quiet neighbourhood that originally was a farm within this small historical area.

Lovely cottage, everything was there including towels and spare toothbrush, couldn't of asked for more ,and Barbra was a lovely host ,she even put the heating on and made the cottage cosy before we came, id definitely stay again

Well equipped cosy cottage on the edge of Deepcar. Ideal for a couple. Very helpful owner, Barbara, who was available when needed. Comfortable bed with bathroom upstairs. Small grassed attached at back, not enclosed but quite safe from traffic for dogs. Quiet neighbourhood with excellent reservoir and High Peak walks within 10 minutes drive.
