About this property
Ipstones 2.5 miles. On the drive down to this beautiful barn conversion cottage, just outside of the village of Ipstones, you will already have the feeling of rural living. This is a single-storey cottage and guests enter directly into the open plan living area with dining space and the kitchen. The family bathroom is also located here. At one end of this beautiful space is a lovely double bedroom, complete with TV, whilst three steps from the living area lead to two further bedrooms, one a twin and one a large double bedroom, both boasting wooden floors. The views from the cottage are amazing and you could spend hours just gazing over the Staffordshire countryside that surrounds Upper Greenhills Farm, or, pop on a pair of boots and discover the network of footpaths and cycle trails all waiting nearby.
Within easy reach are the market towns of Leek and Ashbourne and a pretty array of villages with excellent pubs serving food to enjoy. Alton Towers is also a very short drive away, making this cottage the perfect spot for a really varied holiday all year round. Note: This cottage is next door to Ref 944544, together they sleep 8.
Located on the western fringes of the Peak District, the attractive rural village of Ipstones is set in moorland countryside between the market towns of Leek and Ashbourne. The village itself offers a post office, village shop and pubs serving food, although other amenities are available close by. The surrounding countryside is excellent for walking and offers miles of woodland trails and moorland hikes to enjoy. Dovedale and the limestone Churnet Valley are within easy driving distance and the Manifold Trail is also close by. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and the National Trust's Lyme Park - used in the television adaptation of Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice' - are all easily accessible, as are the National Trust's Ilam Estate and Blackbrook Zoological Gardens.

Got lost due to Satnav issues but skilfully directed to the Cottage by Sue. Used what 3 words Basics.certified.slip until we were more familiar with the ways back to her green junction box landmark. Clean, warm rooms, fantastic bathroom shower that âblew me awayâ! Well stocked with kitchen utensils, none of the stock we usually take was needed! Comfortable seating and Dining area, bed a little too low for me but managed. Looking Out doors fabulous scenery and a group of horses my Grandaughter wanted to rush back to see. Sue was really engaging with her and would let her help feed Henry before my Grandaughter went to bed. We are really hoping to return next year with our other Grandchildren. Ideal location for Alton Towers, Peak Wildlife Park, Burned a lot of Steam at Peak Adventure Farm, big slides and plenty of run around space. Trentham to see Macaques in a huge open enclosure. The Potteries with loads to do. Some fun driving too! You will not go wrong staying here for a week!

One of the best cottages we have stayed in. Very clean, well equipped and comfortable with the best views. The location is peaceful and stunning. Alton Towers being so close was a bonus.
