Guests say

The Old Parlour is a well-received cottage offering a comfortable, well-equipped, and peaceful stay. Guests appreciate its cleanliness, spaciousness, and quiet countryside location, with easy access to local amenities and attractions. The property's charm is enhanced by its open-plan living area, terrace, and views of the surrounding fields.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as immaculate, spotless, and very clean, indicating a high standard of cleanliness.

The location is praised for its quiet countryside setting, proximity to Battle, and accessibility to local attractions. However, some guests mention a tricky access road and a closed local pub.

The cottage is frequently noted for its comfortable beds and sofas, powerful shower, and spacious interior. One guest found the sofas too soft and low, but this seems an isolated view.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen, good Wi-Fi, and enclosed garden. However, one guest reported damage to their car due to the road condition, suggesting some maintenance issues.

While guests have expressed appreciation for the welcome pack and thoughtful touches like fans and a bottle of wine, as gifts are not consistently mentioned across reviews, it is not possible to provide a score. It should be noted that such gifts are a delightful surprise and not guaranteed.

We stayed in The Old Parlour the last week of August, a little tricky to find but the host was lovely and helpful. Once there it is a stunning place to stay and so peaceful. Everything was included and we were very appreciative of the welcome pack. Absolutely immaculate with lots of space for us all. Unfortunately we didn't get enough time to explore the local area but there is a supermarket within a short driving distance. I would highly recommend this property and would love to return again one day.
