This traditional town rests on the banks of the beautiful River Avon and is famous for its beautiful medieval Great Bridge with its seven graceful arches, a major feature that draws visitors to the town. As well as providing a gateway to the New Forest the town offers picturesque walks, a good selection of shops, excellent pubs,restaurants and takeaways. You can explore the stunning surrounding countryside of the Cranborne Chase AONB straight from the front door and enjoy a varied and diverse landscape of rolling hills, ancient woodlands, chalk grassland and river valleys. Venture into the New Forest and discover thousands of acres of moorland, heathland and woodland, frequented by wild ponies, donkeys and pigs and a variety of fascinating wildlife. The little ones can enjoy fascinating adventure-filled days at Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World while thrill-seekers will love walking the treetops and navigating high ropes at Moors Valley Country Park & Forest. Fordingbridge lies n the banks of the River Avon, on the fringes of the New Forest National Park. This traditional Hampshire town offers a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, a small museum of local history and a display of original work by the artist Augustus John. This area is popular with tourists wanting to explore the beautiful scenery on foot or bicycle. Fordingbridge is within easy reach of the cathedral city of Salisbury, as well as the seaside resort of Bournemouth. Within a short drive is the magnificent Breamore, an Elizabethan manor house, as well as Beaulieu, home of the National Motor Museum.
