We came back after our stay last year. Beautiful location. As last year very well looked after. Visited many new places from last year and still much to do. Two minutes walk from the sea and yet the forest comes to the door. Green Woidpecker, Owls, Martin's, Swallows, Terns, the sounds of wildlife make the place very relaxing and eating breakfast outside while watching so many birds. When coming to the Forest and Lymington always come here. Lymington so close and a easy crossing to the Isle of Wight. Plenty of god places to eat and Saturday Market very good.

Lovely lodge, however, in need of a spruce up. Bed, mattress, and bed covers all very worn and felt very well used. Sofa, sofa cushions felt worn and were grubby. Cutlery tasted of metal. One or two extra kitchen utensils such as a sieve, can opener would have been useful. The lodge is in need of a thorough deep clean and some basic cleaning liquids would have been appreciated so that bleach could have been used in the toilet during our stay, some anti bacterial spray for the kitchen bench would have been appreciated too. The vast number of personal photos across all of the walls in the lodge was not to our taste - a neutral theme for a holiday lodge is more appropriate.

Hard to put finger on it. Could not believe all the personal pictures all over the walls in living/sleeping area and also in bathroom, these should be in owners own space not were people are paying good money for. There was lack of any type of storage place for clothes etc. On first day we requested an iron and was informed by groundsman we could use his or they would get us one for next day but this did not happen. We have stayed in a few holiday retreats but will not be returning here
