A beautiful one bedroomed apartment. This was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Outside was a well maintained (and well watered in the drought) garden. Next to this was a paddock with lots of space and a swing and trampoline (much enjoyed by my granddaughter). Beyond the paddock was easy access to the new forest itself. Plenty of wildlife to see: ponies as you would expect, deer, bats and quite large numbers of nightjars, also a rare smooth snake which I had never seen in the wild. The only detraction was the noise from the adjacent duel carriageway, which does however give you fast access towards Ringwood and beyond.

This was a lovely place to stay with wonderful hosts and the garden was so beautiful. Our dog loved the paddock. The only down side for us was that we had to drive everywhere. There wasn’t anywhere near enough for us to walk to but other than that it was fab.

Just got back from a great holiday at Alice's lodge. John & Faye were perfect hosts the lodge is well equipped and very clean. The view over the gardens is great and the paddock was perfect for our dog, he loved it. going through the gate you are straight into the New Forest. It was definitely one of the best holidays that we have had, we will be sure to be coming back again.
