A comfortable, clean and very quiet accommodation. A welcome on arrival by the very friendly resident labrador Dottie. From the outside the carriage appears to retain all of its original features but the inside has been very cleverly fitted out with two comfortable double bedrooms, each with an excellent en suite shower room. When the owner Val first purchased the station some years ago it was in a state of dereliction and over the decades has restored it to the magnificent place that it now is. For those people who have booked this accommodation then please on arrival purchase the book that Val has produced. It gives a short history of the railway line and also details all the hard work that has been done to the station over the years.

What a wonderful few days. The scenery is spectaular. I chose this for its unique setting, and remote area. There is a local pub and a shop in the next village, so you have everything you need. The sprat and winkle have everything you need to relax and explore the test valley.The owners are lovely and can advise on everything from the pub menu to walks and jam making.I can't wait to go back again! Thank you for looking after us.
