Situated in a superb elevated location, Solent Lawns is a highly desirable New-England style house only 200 yards from the Gurnard seafront.
You will instantly appreciate the subtle blends of modern day living and comfort which mould together perfectly into this reverse-level house. On the ground floor, the bedrooms provide a perfect area for sleep and relaxation, whilst on the first floor you will find a large open plan living space which includes a kitchen and dining area. From here you can open patio doors onto a large, glass, frameless balcony where you can dine, relax and enjoy the vista.
During summer, you can witness the parade of thousands of yachts competing in various sailing regattas and the ’Round the Island’ race from the comfort of your own balcony whilst treating yourself to some wine. There’s also a useful separate laundry/utility room for when you’ve just got straight off the beach.
Solent Lawns is a short walk away from the village shops, a café, Gurnard Green with a children pirate park, a pub and a popular, award-winning restaurant. Nearby Cowes can be accessed along the seafront, where there are a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants

Very disappointed after having stayed previously. There was no heating in the property, which caused us problems.Having to waste time from our holiday to try and sort out this problem waiting in for maintenance and heating engineer only to discover the owner of the property controlled the heating remotely and was unable to be contacted, therefore leaving us with no heating the whole holiday. There seems to be an inability by the owner to action or address issues that are raised, in this review and others. Property description states that there is heating provided however this was not the case. Future guests should be made aware there is problems within in this holiday let.

The only thing that let the owners down was the contracted housekeeping service, Mermaid. We had to contact them as items had not been replenished, expected in a high end rental.No toilet roll, refuse bags, washing up clothes, scourers, liquid or kitchen roll. Empty rolls of foil etc. No instructions for rubbish removal etc.However, the kitchen was extremely well equipped and every item in the house was good quality.You may want to inform the owners of our comments.
