Just a short stroll from the lodge, you’ll find yourself on the Island’s extensive cycle route, which meanders from Sandown through the lush countryside towards Cowes, offering endless opportunities to discover hidden corners of the Isle of Wight.

Walkers will delight in the network of footpaths leading directly from the property, where red squirrels, woodpeckers, and even the flash of a kingfisher can often be spotted. Only three miles away lies the lively seaside town of Sandown, famed for its wide sandy beach, traditional pier, and family-run cafés. Slightly further along the coast, Shanklin awaits with its charming old village, tearooms, and the dramatic natural beauty of Shanklin Chine.

Venture south to Ventnor for its botanic gardens and unique microclimate, or head across the Island to the sailing town of Cowes, steeped in maritime heritage. With so many attractions nearby, Pondside Lodge provides the perfect base to enjoy both the coast and countryside in equal measure.

After a day of exploring, return to your cosy retreat. This adult-only log cabin offers lake views and the soothing backdrop of woodland. The open-plan living space features exposed beams, a crackling woodburner, and a fully equipped kitchen. The double bedroom looks out across the private fishing lake, and the spacious shower room adds modern comfort.
