This one bedroom cottage in Shalfleet makes a delightful holiday home for a couple to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Inside, Shalfleet Cottage has a fresh, light décor throughout giving an ambience of calm from the moment you walk through the door.

An open plan living space means everything is close at hand, whether you want to prepare dinner in the kitchen and dine together or put your feet up at the end of the day and watch a DVD. There’s a cosy twin bedroom making a comfortable space for you to get that all important good nights’ sleep before the next day of sightseeing.

There are almost 56-acres of communal grounds for you to explore and discover a wide variety of specimen trees including ancient yew trees. If you like to keep active on your holiday take a dip in the communal swimming pool which is available for guests’ use during the summer months. It’s heated from June so even on cooler days you can enjoy a morning swim in the warm water. Alternatively challenge each other to a game of tennis on the all-weather tennis court.

Bring your four-legged friend on holiday too and discover pet-friendly beaches and walking opportunities in the area. A short distance away is Newtown Creek National Nature Reserve, a great spot for bird-watching and butterflies…  don’t forget your binoculars! A few minutes’ walk away there is a beautiful old country village pub called The New Inn. Fish and seafood are a speciality and families and dogs are welcome. Enjoy a visit to Yarmouth or take a pleasure boat trip to The Needles rocks and lighthouse - a sight not to be missed.

The outdoor swimming pool is open from May and heated from early June - 15th September 2018. Please note though that the swimming pool is shared with the Manor, Farmhouse and Barn and is only available to use weekday mornings.

Please note that there is a working farm within the grounds, as a result, any dogs will need to be kept on a lead.

For 2019. The swimming pool is open from early June – 13th September. Please note that the swimming pool is shared with guests from the Manor, Farmhouse and Barn and is only available to use until 2pm on weekdays.
