Clarendon House is a spacious and bright five bedroom family home located in the charming village of Shanklin. Whether you want to dream your days away on the sandy beach or explore the many attractions on the island, this will be the perfect base.
Inside, the house has been beautifully furnished in a traditional style, enhancing the house’s beautiful period features. Downstairs you’ll find an incredibly spacious living area finished with leather sofas and large feature windows looking out into the garden. When you feel like cooking up a storm, the farmhouse style kitchen is equipped with all the necessary mod cons. Upstairs, the five bedrooms provide the perfect places to rest your weary head after a busy day.
On a warm day, you can step out into the patio and garden area and enjoy the sunshine is blissful peace and quiet. Complete with patio table and chairs and a picnic bench, this is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy a bite to eat or a glass of wine.
Clarendon House is located just a short stroll from Shanklin Old Village, famous for its thatched cottages, quirky gift shops and traditional tea rooms. Shanklin Theatre is just a two minute walk from the house or if you fancy a day at the seaside, Shanklin Seafront and its amusements are also nearby.

...were amazed with the size of this very spacious property. Every room is large and comfortable and everything was supplied for us. Plenty of kitchenware, bedding and towels. This house exceeded all of our expectations, we were all very comfortable and felt very at home. What a great little holiday we had at Clarendon house. Fully recommend!!! ...group of 6 adults and 3 children. All rooms are decorated to a high standard, the kitchen is very well equipped and the dining room is big enough to seat 10 comfortably. The garden is a nice size, all patio with plenty of seating. There is a BBQ there too. Parking is tight, and would not suit 3 large cars, but there is a pay and display 3 mins walk away and you can buy a week permit if necessary. An abundance of eateries are within walking distance. We enjoyed the Hungry Haddock, Purple Mango and Vernon tea rooms at the end of the road were lovely. The walk to the beach is quite steep, but there is a cliff lift, or the bus which you pick up at the end of the road will drop you off on the front. You can park on the front for about £7 per day. Hire bikes from Route57 and take advantage of the abundance of cycle route, it really is a great way to see the island. My top days out are Blackgang Chine, Osborne House, Carisbrook Castle, and the Needles. Submitted by Jeannie on 10/08/2015

...this place for four young families to share and it was more than spacious enough for us. We were delighted with everything in the house it really has been decorated and furnished excellently. The pictures on the website do not do this house justice it is massive and the rooms are very big too! Definitely recommend it lovely little walk to beach brilliant. Submitted by Carol on 29/10/2014
