The cottage is spread over two floors, with old and new wooden features, stone flooring and exposed stonework creating timeless charm and style. Enter through the hoves into the charming lounge/diner, designed for relaxing and chatting with comfy seating in front of the electric fire, no TV, and an antique dining table and chairs where you can play games and enjoy sociable meals; the kitchen is at the end of the room with patio doors outside. Up the wooden staircase are the two bedrooms, the first being a double with lovely open brickwork, a stone wall, vintage prints, and antique furniture. The spacious landing leads past the bathroom to the charming twin bedroom and a door to the external steps. Outside is a shared, enclosed garden, which has a lawn, pretty planting and a stream runs along the bottom of it. There’s also a brick BBQ and garden furniture on the patio for al fresco evenings.

Leave the car and walk to nearby Shanklin (1.5 miles) and Ventnor (2.5 miles) along the picturesque coastal footpath. You’ll find shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants to enjoy in both towns, as well as golden sandy beaches with traditional promenades where you can treat yourselves to an ice cream. Ventnor is also home to a botanic garden with a stunning array of Mediterranean-style gardens and exotic plants to explore.
