Lovely thanks

Woodland View is located in a wonderful area, just a short stroll to Shanklin old village and then on to the beach. The house itself is spacious and well appointed with everything you need. If I had any criticism though, it would be that it could have been a bit cleaner. We had blood marks on the sheets and wall, and other general cleanliness matters that were highlighted and sorted. Outside space is a bit limited, but the Manor grounds make up for it. Overall, a great location and good value for money.

It was an absolute pleasure staying at Woodland Cottage. We were 2 family's 4 adults and 2 children, the setting is beautiful looking over the green and the hills, the children had the freedom of playing on the green. The cottage has all the basic necessities, the addition of towels of and soap in the bathrooms were great. We love Shanklin and Old Shanklin is a lovely town, nice shops, pubs and amenities in a good distance. The beach is a little treck but we enjoyed the walk, and put all the beach stuff in a trolley. Some bits of the house could use a bit of maintenance, the top floor bathroom needs a bit of attention to the shower, and the kitchen hob is a bit tricky to light, but this may just need a deep clean. We will definitely consider booking the cottage again on our next visit to the island. Only downside is booking through Cottages.com you do not get a discount for the ferries, which is a shame as their prices these days are madness, this might put some people off. We found Red funnel ferries had better deals with some of the attractions on the island which was a little bonus.
