Be sure to look out for the award winning Havenstreet Steam Train passing through the countryside, this can be seen from the first floor of Shiloh Cottage. Externally, the property offers a furnished patio, providing an idyllic place to relax with a book.
Shiloh Cottage enjoys immediate access onto walking trails that lead to Wootton Creek, where you will find a public house and restaurant. The trails also lead to the village of Havenstreet where you can board the steam train and enjoy traditional pub grub at the characterful White Hart.
For a range of amenities the hamlet of Wootton can be reached within a five minute drive, alternatively the popular seaside town of Ryde is a 10 minute drive away. Ryde is the largest town on the island and boasts miles of golden sandy beaches and an abundance of shops, restaurants, bars and attractions. If visiting towards the end of summer, be sure to catch the carnival. The town holds the oldest carnival in the UK, when floats from all over the island come together to create the biggest, brightest spectacle of the year.
