The cottage is surrounded by enclosed lawned gardens, with heavily scented old roses and plenty of space for summer living, with room to kick a football around along with parking.

Attractions and nearby amenitiesLovely walks across fields and orchards are accessed directly from the cottage.
For keen walkers there are hikes to Smallhythe Place (National Trust), the award winning 'Chapel Down' Vineyard and Restaurant, the Royal Military Canal, and the Saxon Shore Way.
Hythe's beach, where fishing boats are pulled up between trips, is a pleasant 12-minute walk from the holiday property via the Royal Military Canal and "Ladies Walk" gardens.
One can walk and cycle along the promenade or simply sit on the beach and watch the more energetic windsurfing and sailing.
Other nearby Kent attractions are Brockhill Country Park with 54 acres of lakes and woodland walks (10 minutes), Port Lympne Animal Park (20 minutes), Dover Castle and the Cinque Port of Rye.
A little further afield you will find the beautiful, historical city of Canterbury (45 minutes) where you can visit the famous cathedral, go punting on the river or simply wander through the streets admiring the spectacular architecture.
If you prefer the outdoors, take a drive to Sandwich and Pegwell Bay National Nature Reserve (45 minutes) where you will discover an abundance of wildlife or enjoy some lovely walks while breathing in the sea air.
For the more adventurous the Channel Tunnel allows easy access to the French coast, and day trips by car to the attractive towns of Boulogne, Montreuil and Le Touquet. Sandling mainline railway station (five minutes drive from the property) provides access to London (journey time one hour 26 minutes).
