A great lodge!

We had a great time at the lodge and overall really enjoyed our stay. The lodge itself was lovely and we were very happy with it.However, we did have an issue with the balcony doors, which unfortunately affected our feeling of safety during our stay. The doors would not close and lock properly, so we reported the problem to reception. A member of the site team came to the lodge and agreed that the door was not closing or locking correctly. He tried slamming the door several times and eventually managed to get it to shut and lock, but then left without making any further attempt to repair or resolve the problem. As the weather was extremely hot, we needed to open the balcony door again the following day. I was able to get the door closed, but I could not lock it securely. This left us feeling uncomfortable and quite unsafe, knowing that the balcony door could not be properly secured.I was particularly surprised that, after the site team had seen and acknowledged the problem, no further effort was made to repair the door or provide a proper solution. I would have expected this to be treated as a security issue and followed up appropriately. We really did enjoy our stay and would happily recommend the lodge, but I felt it was important to mention this issue as I would not want another guest to be left in the same situation.
