This is a great location for exploring the iconic city of Canterbury. The space This holiday space is a brick-built garden room which has been separated from the main house by fencing creating a completely self-contained area for two guests. The ample bedroom has a super king size bed. The bedroom has wardrobes with space to hang clothes and shelves. A separate wardrobe is home to an iron and ironing board and a dustpan and brush. There is a dressing table with a hairdryer and a light-up make-up mirror. A full-length mirror is also on the front of the wardrobe. A Smart TV on the wall opposite the bed for those days when you just want to chill out in bed is there for your enjoyment. Accessed from the bedroom via a sliding pocket door is the shower room. This has a shower, wash hand basin and WC. The mirror over the basin has lighting and there is a shaver socket on the wall. Subtle low-level spotlights allow the use of the WC without the need to put the main light on and the fan which is surprisingly quiet but could still be a disturbance in the night. The main room is both the kitchen and living space.
There are two external doors - the main door accessed via a smart lock using your smartphone and a rear door with access to the patio area. The kitchen has a built-in oven, hob, dishwasher and fridge with ice box. A lovely quartz worktop adds to the style. The kitchen has a Nespresso machine as well as the normal kettle and toaster along with cutlery crockery and cooking pans etc. The living space has a sofa and chair and smart TV, and there is also a dining table with 2 chairs. The outside patio area, perfect for taking in the evening rays of sun has both a table with chairs and parasol as well as a rattan corner sofa. There is a bike shed which can hold two bikes but also is home to the cushions from the corner sofa when not in use. Beach ½ mile. Pub and restaurant 350 yards.

We had a lovely stay at The Den.Following a holiday earlier in the year in wales I wasn’t going to book with Cottages.com again as the cottage was not as described.The Deb had a lovely fully enclosed garden suitable for a large dog.(Rottie) you could even close the gates to the driveway if you wanted extra security. Whilst the garden is paved the owners allowed us to use the grassed area out the front for our dog.The welcome pack was really lovely with treats for our dog as well as us.So many little touches that make this cottage super dog friendly. A Hose pipe and dog hook for washing them off after a muddy walk, a dog towel spare bowls even a spare lead and torches were provided.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Den.
