Guests say

The Honey House receives high praise for its immaculate cleanliness, peaceful rural setting, and excellent facilities, making it a favourite for couples and dog owners alike. Guests appreciate the secure outdoor areas, well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful touches such as welcome packs. The location is ideal for exploring Kent’s coast and countryside, with friendly goats adding to the charm. While most found the accommodation comfortable, a few mentioned the bed was too firm and occasional minor maintenance issues. Overall, the property offers a relaxing and enjoyable stay, with many guests eager to return.

Cleanliness is consistently highlighted, with numerous guests describing the property as spotless, immaculately clean, and well-presented. Only one review mentioned a basic clean and suggested moving furniture for a deeper clean, but this was a rare exception.

The location is frequently praised for its peacefulness, proximity to Sandwich and Kent’s beaches, and suitability as a base for exploring the area. A few guests noted the lack of footpaths and the need to drive to amenities, but overall feedback is very positive.

Most guests found the cottage comfortable and cosy, with good heating and a relaxing atmosphere. However, several reviews mentioned the bed being too firm for their preference, and a couple noted the sofa and seating could be improved.

Facilities are highly rated, with guests appreciating the well-equipped kitchen, secure dog paddock, modern conveniences, and reliable parking. Minor suggestions included improved WiFi for work, an air fryer, and more garden plants, but these did not detract significantly from overall satisfaction.

Many guests mention thoughtful touches such as welcome hampers and goodies, which are greatly appreciated, though it should be noted these are not guaranteed. The owner’s helpfulness and the provision of dog-friendly amenities also contribute to a welcoming experience.

There are boat trips from Sandwich taking you to marvel at the seals lining the edge of Pegwell Bay Nature Reserve, a real sight to see. This is our third visit in two years, we like it so much we keep coming back. The location is perfect for us, in easy reach of all coast lines. The accommodation is comfortable and well equipped. It’s very easy to stay there, it’s just like being at home. The owner is very concerned that you have no problems and enjoy your stay. We will definitely return there in the near future.
