Guests say

Little Melrose is a well-received cottage, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped nature. Guests appreciate the friendly hosts and the property's suitability as a base for exploring Kent. While some minor issues are noted, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests enjoying their stay and expressing a desire to return.

The majority of guests have highlighted the property's cleanliness, describing it as immaculate, spotless, and very clean. This consistent praise across reviews suggests a high standard of cleanliness maintained by the hosts.

The location is generally appreciated for its proximity to local attractions and its rural setting. However, some guests mention traffic noise and a lack of privacy due to nearby agricultural activities, which slightly impacts the score.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of new beds and a warm atmosphere. Some concerns about low sofas and mattresses needing replacement prevent a perfect score.

Reviews consistently praise the well-equipped nature of the cottage, including kitchen appliances and a welcome pack. There are a few isolated reports of issues with the dishwasher and water temperature, but these are not widespread.

Guests often mention the thoughtfulness of the hosts, including welcome packs with essentials. While these gestures are appreciated, it is important to note that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

A downside is that agricultural machinery is picked up early in the morning and returned by truck in the afternoon to the shed, just a few metres from the cottage which limits privacy.

Deep in the countryside but within easy access to major roads, it’s an ideal place to stay. The cottage has side views overlooking an orchard & as there is no light pollution, the night sky is a wonder to see. The property is well appointed offering everything one could need. We would definitely stay at Little Melrose again,
