You are welcomed onto the property grounds by a gravel driveway, before unloading your luggage, stepping up the stone steps and through the front door which opens to a small landing, with a further three steps leading down to the living/dining room which is a bright, open space, finished to a contemporary style with character exposed beams, Cotswold stone fireplace housing a woodburning stove, with inviting sofa’s and a superb conservatory housing the dining table, boasting warming underfloor heating.
You and your partner can rustle up a delicious romantic meal in the tastefully decorate, well-equipped kitchen which contains all the amenities you will need during your stay.
Completing the ground floor is a handy cloakroom with a basin, heated towel rail and WC.
When your eyes grow heavy, head up the stairs through the lovely galleried landing and into the welcoming bedroom which overlooks the garden and has a king-size bed, perfect for a well-needed lie-in in the morning.
Once you've got some well-earned rest, head to the shower room and have an invigorating shower and warm up your toes with help from the underfloor heating, before making your way to the wonderful garden for some crisp morning country air. The patio part of the garden wraps around the conservatory and is home to a table and chairs with a lovely state-of-the-art pond and water feature separating the raised lawn area which can be accessed up three stone steps.
Just a stone's throw from your doorstep you will find the award-winning The Feathered Nest Country Inn which offers a warm, hearty welcome, great food, real ales, wines and spirits, with unrivalled views of the Evenlode Valleys. Located within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are many walks and cycle routes from the village including footpaths to nearby Kingham and Bledington, both known for their gastropubs.
The Horse and Groom Village Inn, located in Upper Oddington, is just over five miles from your doorstep, where you can indulge in local food and conditioned beer, or head over to the busting market town Stow-on-the-Wold and talk a stroll around the historical market square which is the heart of the community and offers boutique shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, such as The Cotswold Cheese Factory, Tudor House Antiques and The Old Bakery Tea Room.
Keep yourself entertained by visiting local Bourton-on-the-Water where you can discover a miniature replica of the Cotswold-stone village at The Model Village, or enjoy a scrumptious picnic surrounded by wildlife at Birdland Park & Gardens.
