I wanted to take my husband away for a weekend getaway into the English countryside and this absolutely fit the bill! A wonderful, modern, and very private gem that's perfect for a couple wanting a romantic retreat. We went on a wet and cold December weekend but it was perfect for being cozy and being lazy! The real highlight of the property is the hot tub and sauna, both of which we spent considerable time in each day. I think these amenities were even more magical with the cold and rain! The modern property was super clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was great. And it has all of the things you need to stay in all the time if you want kitchen full of pots and pans, stove, microwave, dishwasher etc....but a few pubs nearby too if you want to get out. Also they have fast wifi so that was helpful especially because we had no cellular signal. All in all would highly recommend!

🌟 Hillview Lodge, Rudgwick – My Honest Review! 🌟If you’re looking for a cosy countryside escape, this place is a true little gem. 💛From the moment we booked, the hosts’ communication was excellent — super friendly, quick and really helpful, which makes such a difference when you just want to relax. Situated 4.9 km from Loxwood Joust, the 1-bedroom Hillview Villa Horsham entices guests to explore various tourist attractions in the area.Holy Trinity Church is located within a few blocks of this 1-bathroom villa, and The Fox PH bus station is about 5 minutes' walk away. The holiday home is within 7 km of Fishers Farm Park. Arundel is 20 miles away, this is a lovely Medival Market town and we spent the afternoon there. If you want coastal head down to Chichester which is around 26 miles away. The lodge itself is stunning… a gorgeous glass-front design with floor-to-ceiling views of the Sussex countryside. Inside, everything is modern, stylish and finished to a really high spec:✨ Open-plan living space with Smart TV ✨ High-spec kitchen – oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher & coffee machine ✨ Beautiful shower room with double shower ✨ Plush kingsize bed ✨ Electric heating & fast Wi-Fi ✨ Private parking for 2Outside is where this lodge really shines… 💛 Private hot tub for two 💛 Outdoor Scandinavian-style sauna 💛 Decking & seating area 💛 Peaceful countryside setting — perfect for switching offIt’s ideal for couples, a romantic weekend away, or anyone who loves long walks — with trails everywhere, including the Downs Link right on the doorstep. You’ve also got The Firebird Brewery and The Milk Churn coffee shop just a short walk away 🍺☕, plus a lovely local pub that serves great food.🧺 Quick note: Towels are provided, but I’d definitely bring extra for the hot tub & sauna. Also bring your own shampoo/conditioner/shower gel as these aren’t supplied. (My only little gripe!)If you want a luxury, quiet, nature-filled retreat near Horsham with all the modern comforts, I honestly couldn’t recommend Hillview Lodge more. 🌅 A solid 9/10 from me.
