Cedar Lodge in Hassocks receives glowing praise for its immaculate cleanliness, peaceful setting, and well-equipped, spacious accommodation. Guests consistently highlight the friendly staff, excellent location for exploring Brighton and the South Downs, and the tranquil atmosphere. The lodge is praised for its comfort, privacy, and thoughtful touches, with many guests returning year after year. Minor issues mentioned include limited ventilation during hot weather and a desire for gated decking for dogs, but these do not detract from overwhelmingly positive experiences.

Cleanliness is repeatedly described as immaculate, spotless, and the best guests have experienced, with no negative comments in this area.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to Brighton, local walks, transport links, and peaceful surroundings, with only minor mentions of road proximity.

Guests find the lodge spacious, comfortable, and quiet, with comfy beds and accessible features. Some mention discomfort during hot weather due to limited ventilation.

Facilities are described as excellent, modern, and very well equipped, including kitchenware, Wi-Fi, and outdoor spaces. Minor suggestions include a full-length mirror and improved ventilation.

Many guests appreciated welcome baskets with tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits, as well as logs for the fire. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

A lovely, lovely place. So peaceful at the end of a day out. We saw a fox and 2 different kinds of woodpecker from the lodge. Would definitely go back (which I never say). Great location, ideal for Brighton and many other surrounding towns and villages. Highly recommend

This being our 6th year in a row here , it’s excellent for bringing our King Charles dog . 🐶 This was his holiday open fields , lovely walks through the woods absolutely loved it . it’s safe nice long drive up-to excellent lodges that are very well looked after by the team . Very clean, inside and out .not to far from the lovely garden centre next door , all the excellent shops in the village from take out to self cook . We have loved our time here but unfortunately this is our last we lost are beloved dog Bentley month before our holiday or rather his holiday but we came to give him his time that he would have loved 🥰. We may come back another time as we love it so much here for your perfect break at great value you would be hard to find better , for relaxation on the decking outside top up your sun tan . Till the next time thank you .
