The Nook is a lovely, bright first-floor apartment situated in Poole, Dorset. Thoughtfully styled with plush furnishings and a welcoming atmosphere throughout, this inviting retreat is well-suited to couples, small families, or friends seeking a coastal escape close to Dorset's renowned beaches, picturesque harbour, and surrounding attractions. Step inside and discover the open-plan living space, where natural light and comfortable seating create a relaxing setting to unwind after a day of exploring. The sitting area provides a delightful place to settle down with a film on the TV, while the dining area offers a pleasant spot to enjoy meals together and plan the adventures ahead.
The kitchen is equipped with the essentials needed for a self-catered stay, making it easy to prepare everything from leisurely breakfasts to evening suppers. As the day draws to a close, retire to one of two inviting bedrooms, comprising a plush double and a single, each offering a thoughtfully-outfitted restful place to recharge. Completing the apartment is a bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin and WC, giving guests the option of a refreshing shower or a relaxing soak after busy days along the coast. Outside, off-road parking for one car provides added convenience, and one well-behaved pet is welcome to join in the holiday fun.
Guests will find a shop and pub nearby, while Poole's famous natural harbour offers boat trips, watersports, and opportunities to visit Brownsea Island, the birthplace of the Scout Movement. Spend time relaxing on the golden sands of Sandbanks Beach, explore the striking coastal landmarks of Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, and Corfe Castle on the Isle of Purbeck, or head to neighbouring Bournemouth for its traditional seaside attractions, gardens, and promenade. For those seeking outdoor adventure, the New Forest National Park is also within easy reach. However you choose to spend your Dorset getaway, The Nook provides a charming base from which to discover the very best of the south coast.
The town of Poole is dominated by one of the world's biggest natural harbours, which features five pine clad islands and regular boat trips. The largest of these islands is Brownsea Island, where Baden Powell began the Scout Movement. To the west is the 'Isle of Purbeck', which offers visitors scenic countryside, dotted with quaint villages and stunning seascapes, plus Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Corfe Castle are well worth a visit. The local beaches at Sandbanks provide excellent facilities for all kinds of watersports. Alternatively, visit the neighbouring family friendly seaside resort of Bournemouth and within driving distance is the fascinating New Forest National Park. An excellent holiday destination at any time of the year.
