If you are looking for a digital detox, this is the place for you! With a lack of WIFI and highly limited phone signal in the house, you will have a very tranquil stay. The décor reflects the 16th century origins with flagstones and rugs over various levels on the ground floor. The wooden panelling between bedrooms, although not helping with privacy, adds to the charm! The house came with abundant supplies and a lovely cake made by the owner, for which we were grateful. There were also many towels/tea towels and cleaning products, which is an unusual occurrence in a rental. The enclosed garden, totally safe for our dog, was lovely, and the field attached to the house was a real bonus. We spent many hours walking him round it, which meant we could take him off lead straight from the house and we were not searching for safe walks. Parking was easy and safe on the property and we appreciated the warm welcome from Andrea and Andrew on arrival. We used the house as a base to visit the area. Bath, Street, Wells and Tyntesfield (NT) are all within easy reach and my husband enjoyed the birdwatching at Chew Valley Lake, also close by.Overall, we would recommend the property, but only if you can do without links to the outside world!

If you are looking for a very rural and rustic property this is the one for you. The cottage is very old and beautiful. The bathrooms and kitchen are well equipped and modern. Garden is enclosed and large, perfect for our dog. There is no WIFI at the property and signal can be patchy. Host was very accommodating and the cake on arrival was delicious.

We had an amazing week at Yew Tree Farm. I just love a home with character and history. This long house was oozing both. It also felt homely and comfortable. Andrea and Andrew were fantastic hosts and there was a lovely cake etc on arrival. We feel very lucky to have stayed at Yew Tree Farm and we were also lucky to have good weather. Great shower in the upstairs bathroom. You have to drive to visit the area but worth it to stay in such a lovely home.
